Hi bio parents,

I’m your daughter. You two left me at a Seobu police station in Seoul in 1974. I was taken to an orphanage, Children’s Baby Home and later to a foster home.  My foster Mom is Soon Yung Shin. Holt people named me So Jung Kim. I want to know your names please and why you left me at a police station. I left Seoul at 5 months old to be adopted by a Caucasian American family in PA. My childhood was good except for once in awhile arguments. I graduated from high school in 1992. I  have 2 associate degrees from community colleges in PA. I have been married for 20 years and have a 15 year old son. I’m a certified pharmacy tech in an American military pharmacy in NM.  My husband is English-American.

I would love to know more about both of you. Even though I haven’t met you two, I still love you both.

친부모님께,

저는 당신들의 딸입니다. 저를 1974년 서울 서부 경찰서에 두고 가셨었죠. 저는 서울시립아동병원 부속 고아원에 맡겨졌었고 나중에 위탁 가정으로 보내졌어요.

제 위탁모 이름은 신순영씨였고, 홀트 입양 기관에서 제 이름을 김소정으로 지어 주었어요. 엄마 아빠 이름이라도 알고 싶어요. 그리고 왜 저를 경찰서에 두고 가셨는지도요. 저는 5개월 무렵 미국 펜실베니아주의 백인 가정으로 입양이 되었습니다.  제 유년기는 어쩌다 한번씩 있는 말다툼 정도를 제외하고는 괜찮은 편이었어요. 1992년에 고등학교를 졸업했고, 펜실베이나주 작은 대학에서 두 개의 학위를 받았어요.

이제 결혼한 지 20년이 되었고 15살된 아들이 하나 있어요. 지금은 뉴멕시코주의 미군 약국의 제약기사로 일하고 있고 남편은 영국계 미국인이구요.

엄마 아빠에 대해서 너무 알고 싶어요. 비록 두 분을 만나 본 적은 없지만 저는 두 분 모두 사랑해요.
