Omma Poom: Add Your Voice
Korean adoptees have two opportunities to make a lasting impact at Omma Poom.
For more information about the summer 2025 Omma Poom dedication events, Peace Museum exhibit, or personalized name tag project, please contact ommapoom@meandkorea.org.
Personalized Name Tags: A Lasting Tribute
As part of this historic event, Korean adoptees were invited to commemorate their names on personalized name tags, which feature prominently in the outdoor sculpture garden of Omma Poom.
Each name tag, designed and hand-painted by Paju-based metalwork artist Ms. Cho, measures 45 x 55mm and includes the adoptee’s adoptive name, birth name and birthplace (in Korean), and birth year. The color of each tag reflects the decade in which the adoptee was sent from Korea for adoption, adding a unique layer of meaning to this lasting tribute.
Name tags may be purchased for an optional donation of $20 per tag. Thanks to the generosity of many donors, if you do not wish to donate, it is not required in order to secure a name tag. Any contributions exceeding the actual costs will directly support Omma Poom or help other adoptees secure their name tag. Your generosity is greatly appreciated and will help us continue this meaningful work.
While the dedication ceremony took place in summer 2025, if you would still like to submit a photo, please fill out the Name Tag form here.
If you know of an adoptee who has passed away and would like to have a name tag created in their honor, please fill out the form with their year of passing. We will waive the cost for these tags.
Adoptee Voices at the Peace Museum
In addition to the park itself, Me & Korea unveiled a display at the Peace Museum, featuring the photos and profiles of 1,000 Korean adoptees. This new indoor exhibit builds upon the original temporary outdoor installation from 2018, and houses the original 700+ photos and messages from adoptees, along with more recent submissions. It serves as a powerful tribute to the stories of Korean adoptees in Korea.
Call for Submissions:
Korean adoptees who wish to be featured in the exhibit are invited to submit the following:
